A low cost campervan bed, this is a sliding bed and storage compartment in one. Available in lengths 1900mm to 1500mm x 765mm stowed (1300mm extended) x 435mm tall and 355mm wheel arch clearance. It can be used either fully or partially extended to suit the width of bed you need. Made in a choice of 15mm moisture resistant MDF or 15mm plywood. The bed is supplied with an unfinished surface ready to customise at home, e.g. with paint, vinyl, decoupage, spray paint etc. You can see many examples of how our customers have finished their beds on our social media pages.
The doors and door frames come with bare edges as standard but these can be routered ready to fit knock on edge trim. Routering is where a slot is cut into the outside edge of the wood which the edge trim can then be hammered into. Edge trim is supplied in a continuous length ready to fit at home after the final finish has been added to the unit. We supply single lipped T trim edging.
Our campervan bed kit is ideal for self build van conversions and is supplied with all fixings and instructions required for self assembly. Our design includes furniture blocks and threaded plastic dowels embedded into the wood to ensure the joints are as strong as possible whilst still easy to put together.
The unit assembles as two parts which can be screwed together or left separate if you plan on lifting them in and out regularly.
We now have a full range of mattresses available for almost all our campervan beds. Our campervan mattresses are made from 100mm thick premium grade foam and are upholstered in Charcoal coloured AquaClean fabric. AquaClean features a revolutionary technology that allows you to clean stains using only water making it great for use in campervan mattresses and sofa bed cushions. You will be sent two cushions in the same length as your bed, one will have a width of 765mm and the other will have a width of 535mm.
Cushions are sent direct from the upholsterer and will be delivered separately from your bed. Cushions are made on a lead time which fluctuates throughout the year. Please see the banner at the top of the page for the current lead time time.

assembly
instructions are very confusing maybe if you numbered the parts in order of construction it would be much easier and far less time consuming otherwise the would have received a 5 star rating

Sliding campervan bed
I ordered the sliding campervan bed for my transit connect, not the biggest van but the selection of sizes meant I could get one that fit. There was good communication from the company about the order and it was even finished for collection a couple of weeks early. Everything came flat packed and once I got my head around the instructions it was very easy to assemble and came together really nicely. I've painted the bed, which in hindsight, I should have done first! But it looks great. Really sturdy, the storage underneath is great and it pulls out great in the van. Taking it out this weekend for the first run and can't wait to try it! Great product.

Sliding slay bed
Product is well made and once a few coats of paint are added looks and works well. I added a slat to the front to stop the mattress sliding off once pulled out which I think maybe camit should adopt in the design as works and looks great. Also I had to take a little out from the back to allow it to easily sit over my bed transporter wheel arch. Apart from the 5 week lead time waiting for it I’m very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it.

Amazing could not be happier with it
Super fast delivery. And once you have worked out which pieces are which they go together really easy and looks amazing. Every joint is very strong . Only thing I would say would be a problem is keeping the bed together while your driving as it will open and close but easily sorted by adding bolts (like on a shed) to keep it together.
