Our Plywood Sliding Campervan Bed is made from 15mm plywood for extra strength it is available in lengths 1900mm to 1500mm x 600mm stowed (1140mm extended) x 420mm tall with 330mm wheel arch clearance. It can be used either fully or partially extended to suit the width of bed you need. The campervan bed features two front doors which give access to the storage area underneath.
This flat packed bed kit is ideal for DIY van conversions and is supplied with all fixings and instructions required for self assembly. Our design includes furniture blocks and threaded plastic dowels embedded into the wood to ensure the joints are as strong as possible whilst still easy to put together. The bed is supplied with an unfinished surface ready to customise at home, e.g. with paint, vinyl, decoupage, spray paint etc. You can see many examples of how our customers have finished their beds on our social media pages.
The unit assembles as two parts which can be screwed together or left separate if you plan on lifting them in and out regularly.
The doors and door frames come with bare edges as standard but these can be routered ready to fit knock on edge trim. Routering is where a slot is cut into the outside edge of the wood which the edge trim can then be hammered into. Edge trim is supplied in a continuous length ready to fit at home after the final finish has been added to the unit. We supply single lipped T trim edging.
We now have a full range of mattresses available for almost all our campervan beds. Our campervan mattresses are made from 100mm thick premium grade foam and are upholstered in Charcoal coloured AquaClean fabric. AquaClean features a revolutionary technology that allows you to clean stains using only water making it great for use in campervan mattresses and sofa bed cushions. You will be sent two cushions in the same length as your bed, one will have a width of 600mm and the other will have a width of 540mm.
Cushions are sent direct from the upholsterer and will be delivered separately from your bed. Cushions are made on a lead time which fluctuates throughout the year. Please see the banner at the top of the page for the current lead time time.

Sliding Campervan Bed
This campervan bed is so much better than the old rocker type beds. Plenty of storage space underneath good quality and easy to use once assembled. Would definitely recommend.

Good quality n sturdy
This is very well made and goes together nice and easy, just make sure you only do 1 box at a time. The cushions are very think and the material is of a very good quality. Would use again 100%

1500mm pull out bed into
Super product looks fantastic and really clever Instructions were a little tricky not sure if a page wasn’t missing. That aside I can’t wait to get out when the weathers better. Saw some great items in build when I collected from the factory so might be purchasing more things in future.

Birch ply sliding campervan bed
Generally very pleased with the bed, well designed and made; much better than I could do myself. There is a frustrating error in the instructions which lost be time (and Camit a star) having to disassemble and reassemble.. The pictures identifying slats for the body and slider are the wrong way round ref left and right in the text

Good product but instructions very poor. Took me 3x longer than needed to put it together by trying to decifer what I needed to do with each part.

Excellent quality
The quality is excellent, it’s both very substantial and lightweight. The final product looks really smart. However, The build time is significant (5.5hrs) and the instructions are Not that clear, but the quality is good so parts fit together cleanly and flush.

Worth every penny
So I chose to collect my bed, as I didn't live too far away. ordering to collection was hassle free with great communication. Bed is packed really well in two boxes. Instructions were easy to follow, and everything was fantastic quality. Putting the bed together does take time, but everything fits perfectly. Really happy with the bed, I sanded and painted for a really great finish. Will use camit again for more camper furniture.
