Our sliding campervan bed features two lift up sections to access the storage space under the bed. These are retained in an upright position with lid stays so you don't have to hold it up whilst using the space, available in lengths 1900mm to 1500mm x 765mm stowed (1300mm extended) x 410mm tall and 330mm wheel arch clearance. As well as the lift up lid, the bed also features two front doors for use while the bed is pushed in.

It can be used either fully or partially extended to suit the width of bed you need. Made in a choice of 15mm moisture resistant MDF or 15mm plywood. The bed is supplied with an unfinished surface ready to customise at home, e.g. with paint, vinyl, decoupage, spray paint etc. You can see many examples of how our customers have finished their beds on our social media pages.

The door frames and doors come with bare edges as standard but these can be routered ready to fit knock on edge trim. Routering is where a slot is cut into the outside edge of the wood which the edge trim can then be hammered into. Edge trim is supplied in a continuous length ready to fit at home after the final finish has been added to the unit. We supply single lipped T trim edging.

This flat pack bed kit is ideal for self build campervan conversions and is supplied with all fixings and instructions required for self assembly. Our design includes furniture blocks and threaded plastic dowels embedded into the wood to ensure the joints are as strong as possible whilst still easy to put together. The unit assembles as two parts which can be screwed together or left separate if you plan on lifting them in and out regularly.

We now have a full range of mattresses available for almost all our campervan beds. Our campervan mattresses are made from 100mm thick premium grade foam and are upholstered in Charcoal coloured AquaClean fabric. AquaClean features a revolutionary technology that allows you to clean stains using only water making it great for use in campervan mattresses and sofa bed cushions. You will be sent two cushions in the same length as your bed, one will have a width of 765mm and the other will have a width of 535mm.

Cushions are sent direct from the upholsterer and will be delivered separately from your bed. Cushions are made on a lead time which fluctuates throughout the year. Please see the banner at the top of the page for the current lead time time.

Top quality product. CNC machining is bang on, with absolutely no issues on assembly , or bits missing .Takes time to put together ,but very straightforward. Communications with the Team at Camit was spot on .Packaging was approached with same precise detail as the product. Delivered to the lead time stated . One very happy customer

    Flip up campervan bed

Posted by Robyn Ingham on 11th Aug 2021

We love this bed. It is made to an incredibly high quality, the customer service has been outstanding and if looks amazing in our van. The only thing I would point out is that it is a big self build, by that I mean it is a lot of parts and it would have been a lot easier and quicker if we had known which pieces were for which side before we began building. If it had come in 2 separate boxes or if pieces were labelled or even if in the instruction it pointed out what now seems obvious.... you are building 2 mirror image boxes one with wheel cut out on the left and one on the right!

A very good quality product let down by instructions. Parts need to be labelled so you understand how it goes together. It took us an hour to sort out and label the parts ourselves and one part does not fit. Not impressed considering the price
